Abstract
The results of direct bonding of orthodontic brackets to the teeth in 160 cases were investigated. The direct bonding system and its failure rate using different types of bracket was evaluated. Various causes of failure of direct bonding were investigated and discussed; these included the position of the tooth, occlusal factors and the length of treatment. Keywords
