Abstract
Near the critical point of a fluid or fluid mixture, we postulate the existence of a size distribution of diffuse droplets or clusters of molecules. This distribution is combined with the Rayleigh-Debye scattering approximation and the theory of Brownian motion to describe the observed behavior of the intensity and the autocorrelation of light scattered by critical fluids. Keywords
