Abstract
A new Energy Control Center has been installed and tested at Orange and Rockland Utilities and it has been successfully assisting the control center dispatchers in operating the power system. Power System Security functions are implemented at this control center, including Network Topology and Separated Network Detection, State Estimation and Bad Data Detection, Online Loadflow and Contingency Analysis, and Distribution Factor Fast Contingency Analysis. Besides these real-time oriented functions there is also a study function to help the dispatchers evaluate the security of the system for a future time. Keywords
