Abstract
The authors analyse the design of a novel type of regenerated WDM soliton system combining both techniques of synchronous modulation, and dispersion management. An optimised 4×20 Gbit/s WDM system with amplifier/regenerator spacings of 50/350 km is simulated numerically, showing the potential of the technique for high bit rate soliton systems. Keywords
