Abstract
The growth rate of a manganese nodule from the South Atlantic Ocean (Rio Grande Ridge) has been determined using a 10Be profile as measured with a Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator. This rate is 4.5 mm/My. A correlation may exist between the 10Be flux and the Mn flux to nodules. Keywords
