Abstract
The problem discussed is that of interpreting LOD scores when multiple markers are tested for linkage with a particular disease locus. Provided the tests are based on independent segregations, both the maximum and the average LOD can be translated into a score that would have the same significance level were it the result of a single test.Keywords
