Abstract
The dynamical structure factor S(q omega ) and the transverse current correlation function Ct(q omega ) are calculated within a generalised mean-field theory for a two-dimensional classical one-component plasma. The results are compared with recent molecular dynamics simulations, and the general agreement is satisfactory. Keywords
