Abstract
Angular distributions of the three tensor analyzing powers have been measured for () reactions on , , and . Distorted-wave calculations are inconsistent with the measurements if the deuteron state is ignored. However, excellent agreement is obtained when the effects of the state are included. We discuss the dependence of the tensor analyzing powers on incident deuteron energy, value, and angular momentum transfer.
