Abstract
The problem of discrete-time detection of a weak signal in an impulsive noise environment is considered. It is assumed that the noise can be described as having a nominal correlated Gaussian component with an impulsive component superimposed on it. Detectors that robustly whiten the incoming signal and use threshold tests to determine the presence of impulses are presented. Keywords
