Abstract
Inheritance of chlorotic cotyledon in Brassica campestris was studied in the M3generation descending from seed treated with ethyleneimine. Also studied were F1progenies from crosses between plants having the cotyledon character and a normal unrelated line. Data indicated the trait was controlled by a single partially dominant gene designated C with recognizable genotypes, CC (green), Cc (chlorotic), cc (albino). Mature plants of each genotype were indistinguishable except for some loss of vigor in plants with albino cotyledons.
