Uterine involution in the mare after induced parturition

Abstract
SUMMARY: Histologic, bacteriologic, and scanning electron microscopic procedures were used to compare uterine involution between a group of 10 mares in which parturition had been induced prematurely (using prostaglandins) and the 2nd group of 10 mares which foaled naturally. Differences between the 2 groups could not be determined, and the subsequent conception rates were similar.
