Abstract
Mössbauer spectra of Fe75P16B6Al3 glass were investigated as a function of the annealing temperature from 300 to 700 K. It is found that the magnetization axes of Fe nuclei lie in the ribbon plane of the as‐quenched sample. Annealing at temperatures below 450 K causes negligible changes in the spectra. With further annealing above 550 K, it is found that the magnetization is strongly polarized toward the direction perpendicular to the ribbon plane. Possible formation of magnetic domains at high annealing temperature is proposed to account for the strong polarization which cannot be explained merely by the simple stress‐releasing process. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
