Abstract
The hyperfine intervals of the P(48) line in the 11–3 band of B ← X electronic transition of iodine molecules were measured by the beat frequency between a stabilized dye laser and a 612-nm I2-stabilized He–Ne laser. Hyperfine components were detected by using FM saturation spectroscopy, and the dye laser was stabilized to each of them without internal modulation. The hyperfine coupling constants were determined from the measured hyperfine intervals as follows: ΔeQq = 1945.0 ± 0.7 MHz, ΔC = 28.2 ± 1.3 kHz.Keywords
