Abstract
In shell model calculations for the yrast even-spin states of , the static quadrupole moments of the low-spin states , , , and are negative but those of the high-spin states , , and are positive. Yrast states with even spins greater than the single j shell limit, =14, again have negative quadrupole moments. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
