Abstract
The stochastic resonancelike behavior in a weakly ionized magnetoplasmasystem is experimentally observed by applying external white noise withoutperiodic driving. The study covers a fixed-point region and its neighboringlimit-cycle region connected through an inversed supercritical bifurcation. The noise deteriorates the coherent motion of the limit cycle. However, italso stimulates the coherent motion which is damped by the dissipation processon the fixed-point side, and in turn induces stochastic resonance. Keywords
