Abstract
Optical beat frequency generation up to 40.6 THz is achieved by beating two mode-locked semiconductor lasers optical pulses using a wavelength division multiplexing fibre coupler. To the author's knowledge, this is the fastest amplitude modulated signal observed so far. Keywords
