Abstract
By use of a classical model, the effect of adsorbed particles on the accommodation coefficients at a gas—solid interface is studied. The interaction between the adsorbed and incident particles is assumed to be impulsive. The results show an important contribution of this effect on the over‐all value of the accommodation coefficients even at the surface coverage as low as 1%.Keywords
