Abstract
An effective Lagrangian that describes the low-momentum interactions of mesons containing a heavy quark with the pseudo Goldstone bosons , , and is constructed. It is invariant under both heavy-quark spin symmetry and chiral symmetry. Implications for semileptonic and decays are discussed.
