Abstract
A simplified machine for the routine preparation of tissue slices by an ordinary safety-razor blade is described; its manufacture did not require skilled labor. Attention is drawn to the advantage of inclining the razor blade so the bevel nearer the uncut tissue is colinear with the plane of chopping. It was found that an average of 16[degree]% of the mass of mouse liver was lost in chopping it into slices 0.33 mm thick.
