Abstract
The task of calculating the position, width, and area associated with a Gaussian‐like curve often occurs in data reduction. The present analysis examines the systematic error in these quantities arising from the spacing of data points at which local average values of the dependent variable are observed. The analysis has important applications in nuclear spectroscopy and in statistics. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
