The Fermilab ACP Multi-Microprocessor Project

Abstract
We report on the status of the Fermilab Advanced Computer Program's (ACP) project to provide more cost-effective computing engines for the high energy physics community. The project will exploit the cheap, but powerful, commercial microprocessors now available by constructing modular multi-microprocessor systems. A working test bed system as well as plans for the next stages of the project are described.
