Abstract
Low-temperature hopping transport in one-dimensional systems is considered under the condition of strong electric fields. Both the upper and the lower tails of the energy distributions of localized carriers can be described by Boltzmann-type functions of energy characterized by an effective temperature that depends on the electrical field and the spatial distribution of neighbouring hopping sites. Keywords
