Stability Conditions for Néel Walls and Cross-Tie Walls in Thin Magnetic Films

Abstract
The stability of Néel walls and cross‐tie walls has been studied in 80‐20 Ni‐Fe thin films between 200Å and 640Å. It was found that well defined, overlapping ranges of stability exist for Néel and cross‐tie walls and that walls can be transformed from one type to another by the application of a magnetic field along the hard direction.
