Abstract
We have calculated the thermal and electrical conductivities and the shear viscosity of dense matter when the ions form a liquid. Effects of ionic correlations are included by use of results for the liquid structure factor of the one component plasma obtained from numerical simulations, and screening of the electron–ion interaction is taken into account. At densities so high that screening is unimportant our results for the thermal and electrical conductivities agree to within ~ 10 per cent with earlier ones by Yakovlev & Urpin. We also estimate electron effective mass and vertex corrections. Keywords
