Abstract
The methionine residue which is transiently incorporated into the N‐terminal position during the initiation of both chains of rabbit globin, is provided solely by rabbit reticulocyte methionyl tRNAF and is not blocked or modified at any stage of the initiation process. This is true both for initiation observed in vitro and in vivo. All internal methionine residues of rabbit globin are provided by methionyl tRNAM.This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
