Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive comparison of the results of a physical meteor-burst communication model with data measured on the SHAPE Technical Centre (STC) link in Europe. The very small seasonal variations experienced on the STC link are highlighted and conclusions drawn on how to better model seasonal meteor-burst variations in a physical model. Model results for high latitude meteor-burst links are presented as best predictions; it is hoped that the model can soon be validated against measured high latitude data from the ongoing Rome Air Development Center trials in Greenland.
