Abstract
Relative intensities of muonic x rays have been measured for the series of Ca, S, Si, and Mg and series of Ca. yields of all the elements are about 80% of the total lines. The relative intensities of Ca , , , and x rays are almost constant and are about 2% of the total lines. A statistical initial distribution of muons in a high- state might be sufficient to explain the data if electron stripping effects are included in the calculations.
