Abstract
The application of interferometric fiber-optic sensors to the detection of air-acoustic signals is discussed. Differences between air-acoustic and hydroacoustic transduction mechanisms are expected to provide enhanced sensitivity in the former case, and low-frequency measurements confirm this enhancement for the case of an unjacketed fiber loop. Keywords
