Abstract
The test has been used to examine the blood of over 70 patients. A mucification of the vaginal mucosa of spayed mice has been produced by the injection of blood serum from patients in whom it is known there is a histologic corpus luteum, namely, during pregnancy, early in the puerperium, during the premenstrual stage, and accompanying a corpus luteum cyst. However, since it has also resulted from the injection of blood from men, from 1 woman following a bilateral oophorectomy and from 4 women past the climacteric, it does not seem justifiable to consider it as a reliable test for the presence of progestin in the blood. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
