Abstract
The four-part ABCD parameters are derived for a pair of non-symmetrical coupled transmission lines in an inhomogeneous dielectric medium (e.g. mierostrip or broadside-coupled strips in a layered medium) using the odd-mode current wave, even-mode voltage wave combination introduced for homogeneous lines by Ekinge (1971). Effects of unequal mode velocities are included. Two-port networks composed of non-symmetrical coupled lines with unequal mode velocities are also investigated. These networks are useful in filter, impedance transformer and power divider applications. Keywords
