The effect of clomiphene citrate on pubertal gynaecomastia

Abstract
Clomiphene citrate 100 mg daily was used to treat 28 boys with pubertal gynecomastia. Six failed to complete the course and of those remaining, 14 (64%) responded within 6 mo. of commencement of therapy. Lutropin, follitropin, testosterone and estradiol levels rose during therapy. Clomiphene apparently affects gynecomastia locally as an anti-estrogen.
