Abstract
M. radiodurans cells irradiated with sub-lethal doses of .gamma.-rays are killed by postincubation at 42.degree. C notwithstanding the restoration of sedimentation rate of broken DNA. Lesions other than the strand-scission of DNA are to be restituted for cell survival. The mechanism of 42.degree. C effect on M. radiodurans are described in connection with its resistance to radiation and to mutagens. Results showed that the repair dependent mutagen does not induce error prone system in M. radiodurans. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
