Abstract
Cyano-alkyl Schiff bases and cyano-alkyl esters were synthesized and homologous and isomeric eutectic mixtures with nematic phases near room temperatures were prepared. Isomeric Schiff base mixtures decomposed via exchange reactions whereas isomeric ester mixtures produced stable low voltage nematogens. Keywords
