Abstract
Excysted metacercariae of Z. lunata did not advance in development in 3-day-old chick embryos. Postmetacercarial development was obtained when excysted metacercariae were placed on 10-day-old chick chorioallantoic membranes and maintained there for 5 days at either 39.degree. or 41.degree. C. These worms were comparable in size and development to those grown in the cecum of domestic chicks for 5 days. Worms were either attached to the chorionic ectoderm by their acetabulum or were free in a lesion on the surface of the chorioallantois. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
