Abstract
A new cell for Raman spectroscopy of molten alkali nitrates containing superoxide or peroxide ions is described. The melt is hung from a spiral cone of platinum wire taking advantage of the high wettability of the alkali nitrate melt. This design is tested in practice and found to perform well. Keywords
