Abstract
Homographic transformation is used in the simplification of discrete-time transfer functions by Padé approximation. It is shown that the transformation can be used to generate a family of models of the same order. That this approach offers, at least, a partial solution to the stability problem of low-order models is demonstrated. A numerical example is given. Keywords
