Abstract
Data from a survey of men and women in urban shelters for the homeless revealed that, while women were more likely than men to request a variety of services, most of the difference was accounted for by the subgroup of women accompanied by children. Homeless men and women without children exhibited few differences in the number of services they requested. Keywords
