Abstract
A numerical discrepancy in the results of various authors for the same divergent calculation is traced to differences in the treatment of divergent integrals. The difference is exhibited explicitly, and a standard convention suggested that corresponds to the regularization procedure of Pauli and Villars. Alternative methods of evaluation are criticized on this basis. Keywords
