Abstract
(L)-Serine and (S)-prolinol, after suitable protection and transformations, react smoothly with methyl acrylate and DABCO (Baylis-Hillman reaction). The product from the (L)-serine reaction can be regarded as an analogue of sphingosine.Keywords
