Abstract
Data are presented from laboratory and field tests with the imported fire ant, Solenopsis saevissima v. richteri, to show that GC-1283, dodecachlorooctahydro-l,3,4-metheno-2H-cyclobuta [cd] pentalene, is (1) characterized by a delayed killing action, (2) not repellent to ants in oil baits at concentrations up to 1.0% and (3) 99 to 100% effective in controlling natural infestations of ants in soybean oil-flour or soybean oil impregnanted puffed barley grits baits. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
