Abstract
It has been shown that a compound must contain the stilbylamine group ([alpha],[beta]-diphenylethyl- amine) in order to act as a mitosis poison. Since a methoxy group must also be present in the stilbylamine group in the 0-phenyl residue, 4''-methoxystilbylamine is an active mitosis poison in a dose of 5 y per ml. of chicken heart fibro-blasts culture. Prepn. of the compound is described. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
