Abstract
Homocitrate reverses the lysine inhibition of penicillin biosynthesis by Penicillium chrysogenum. Since lysine is known to inhibit homocitrate synthase, reversal by the reaction product identifies this enzyme as the crucial site of the lysine effect.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
