Abstract
Preliminary results of an investigation of the bending rate damping model for elastic structures are presented. A model for which the internal damping term is physically plausible and which can accommodate cantilevered boundary conditions is discussed. The model formulation and mathematical foundations are given, and numerical results are discussed. Keywords
