A method for determining aluminium in certain aluminium protein compounds

Abstract
Corynebacterium diphtheriae culture filtrates were treated with K alum or other Al salts; and the Al was precipitated with 8-hydroxy-quinoline, the amount of the latter in the precipitate being estimated volumetri-cally. The complex salt was dissolved in HCl, K bro-mate was added, and the excess Br was determined by adding KI and titrating with thiosulphate.
