Abstract
This paper describes some loci for personality assessment practices in the next decade. There are new domains for description of Personality Disorders, stress and coping skills, and individual modernity and acculturation. An emphasis on psychological health assessment is consistent with primary and secondary intervention. A focus on competence and awareness of environmental demands leads to a rationale for assessment components of a psychological health evaluation. Education for the general public and training for professional assessors are relevant teaching goals. Competence, fairness, and an adequate repertoire of tools are requisite for professionals. Keywords
