Abstract
A new method for measuring the phase of the third-order susceptibility χ(3) that is based on the phenomenon of polarization beats is proposed and demonstrated. As a first application, the method was employed to study the phase dispersion of χ(3) in Cd(S, Se)-doped glasses. Keywords
