Abstract
In a scenario for changes to teachers and schools over the next quarter century, the school system is expected to fragment into four diversified sectors. The associated changes for the teaching profession, including teacher training, are explored. It is suggested that the main driver of change will be economic reforms in partial imitation of South East Asian economies. Some policy implications and developments are considered.Keywords
