Abstract
An analysis has been carried out of an experiment in which a laser‐produced plasma is probed with an electron beam. The target surface temperature as a function of time is obtained. The mass vaporization rate is obtained. The disposition of laser beam energy and of the target recoil momentum are given at three different times after laser pulse initiation. The results are discussed and compared with those of other experiments. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
