Abstract
A novel ultrasonic probe for the measurement of field distributions in water is described. In an arrangement using a metal cone tip as the antenna and an acoustic lens with conventional large diameter transducer as the detector, a spatial resolution of λ/4 was achieved. Experimental results for a 4 MHz design are presented.Keywords
