Abstract
Using a buffered acid thionin stain with carbolxylene as a clearing agent, a reliable stain for Nissl bodies may be performed on frozen sections of fresh or old formalin-fixed material in a relatively short period of time. The technic is simple: the buffering of thionin makes regressive differentiation unnecessary. Keywords
